Steering Group
To ensure swift mobilisation, it was agreed to establish an initial steering group to drive action and momentum. The steering group consists of volunteers from different organisations across Sheffield.
Current members include representatives from:

Membership will be reviewed annually in January, with a maximum of 16 places available. If/when the SYA becomes an independent organisation, the steering group will stand down to be replaced with a Board of Trustees.
Funding
£5,000 seed funding provided by Sheffield City Council
Youth and Children Services for external facilitation by Good Work With.
It is a priority intention of the steering group to identify and secure additional funding for the Alliance.
Development Plan
The SYA Steering Group has created a development plan focusing on the ‘start-up’ phase and the proposal for a Sheffield Youth Strategy.
